A standard cartridge features a solid glass barrel, a rubber plunger (stopper) at the back end, and a pierceable rubber septum secured by a metal crimp at the front. As the pen mechanics operate, the internal rod pushes the rear rubber stopper forward, cleanly dispensing the liquid through the attached pen needle.
How Cartridges Work in the System
